Fun Local Activities

The Beulah Valley and surrounding Wet Mountains are a wilderness wonderland with options for fun and exciting activities for everyone.

Plan a day to hike one or more of the trails in the beautiful Pueblo Mountain Park.  The park is just a short 10 minute drive from The Pines Guest Cabins.

Bring your mountain bike for a vigorous ride on any of the many designated biking trails in the Wet Mountains.  Some trailheads are as close as one half hour driving time by car. 

Like to fish?  A 30 minute scenic drive down 12 Mile Road will take you to Isabel Lake where you can make your catch . .  and you’ll still have time to visit Bishop Castle before heading back.

Other activities all within 1-2 hour(s) include;  The Pueblo River Walk, Area Museums, Scenic Drives to Ghost Towns and Mountain Lakes, The Royal Gorge Bridge, River Rafting, Narrow Gage Railroad, Antiquing in Florence, Mushroom Foraging, and many, many more. 

A comprehensive NOTEBOOK of AREA PURSUITS  (including info for hiking and biking trailheads) is available in your cabin along with advertising pamphlets of the activities mentioned above.  Please do not remove pages from the notebook but leave for other guests to reference.  Jan will duplicate copies of specific pages at your request.
